The Reel deal:

Updates from the garden

Garden beds: We now have 25 garden beds at the garden. We have 6 garden beds ready to plant out. We are organising a Planning team who will decide what to plant in which garden beds and organise growing or buying the seedling for the members to plant. Contact Glynis if you want to be part of the planning team. Everyone is welcome to join.
8 garden beds have been leased to individuals. They are marked on the Garden Plan and the signs to say that the bed is leased are being created at the moment by Jon.

Food Forest: We have some trees and shrubs in the food forest and mulch down on the main section of the Food forest. We even have a banana circle. We are expecting a new shipment of mulch soon, to continue to build up the food forest.

Composting: 2 compost bays have been built and we have 10 compost bins. Many have been filled already by the almighty Ross. To join the fun, you can collect your green and brown matter and bring it to the garden to add the the compost

Storage: The Shed is here! It is lockable, and it is doing a great job of holding all of our tools and items.

Growing: The Shade house is up and the shade cloth is on. We have started to grow our very own seedlings. Huge thanks to our sponsor the Caloundra Power Boat club!

Water: Thanks to Jim Eden we have a bore and a tap where water flows from at all hours. The solar on top of the shed roof feeds a battery and the bore pump in the shed. The tap key is hanging just inside the shed door for those of us that want to water
