Golden Beach
Community Garden
A space where people come together to grow edible plants, to learn skills, build friendships and to experience the joy that gardening together can bring.
A welcoming outdoor community place where the focus is on people, sustainable organic gardening, learning, teaching and healthy food choices.

Help us grow our garden!
Whether you’re considering a casual membership, sponsoring, or making a donation, every contribution helps us flourish.
No time to volunteer at the garden but want to be involved? Support us and be informed by becoming a member for just $20 per year. We are now taking memberships for the 2025/2026 financial year:
Donate to our Go Fund Me campaign

💰 Sponsorships & Grants
Major grants for the Sunshine Coast Council are closed and unfortunately we were unsuccessful in this round. We were planning to gain funding for the Education Centre. We await Owner’s Consent for the 6×6 carport.🌿 Garden Beds
We now have 45 oval garden beds, and 6 other shaped beds! 19 garden beds have already been leased to members and are clearly marked on the garden map, with signage in each bed indicating who it belongs to.🌱 Garden Planting
Seeds for summer have been sowed. There are 2 beds to plant out, to grow yummy food.🎃 The Pumpkin Patch
Our pumpkin patch is thriving thanks to the love and care of our members! From tiny seedlings to big, bold pumpkins, it’s a true example of what teamwork — and a bit of Sunshine Coast sunshine — can grow. Keep an eye out for our next harvest celebration!
🌻 The New Garden Sign
We’re proud to unveil our beautiful new garden sign — a welcoming symbol of our community spirit. Huge thanks to Cr Terry Landsberg and Sunshine Coast Council for supporting this project. It now stands proudly at our entrance, inviting everyone to come in, connect, and grow with us.
♻️ Composting
Want to help out? Bring your green and brown waste to contribute, and feel free to check if any bins need turning or watering during your visit.🐛 Worm Farms
We have four active worm farms producing fantastic worm juice. Use it weakly, weekly—dilute it each week and give the garden a nourishing drink!🌿Food Forest Expansion
We’ve added extra edging to the Food Forest using besser blocks—bonus: garlic has been planted in the holes! Curious what else is growing in this thriving space? Here’s a quick sample: tomatoes, curry plants, hyssop, wild bergamot, tansy, Mexican tarragon, mandarins, olive, beans, sweet potato, panama berry, and even a coffee bean plant!🔧 Storage
The shed is now well-organised and storing all of our tools, mowing gear, fertilisers, and other essentials safely and efficiently.💧 Water Supply
Thanks to Jim Eden, the bore is flowing well and water in the garden couldn’t be easier. You’ll find the tap key hanging just inside the shed door—help yourself when watering.
Make a donation.

We come together every week at the Golden Beach Community Garden:
🌿 Sundays at 8:30am
🌿 Thursdays at 8:00am
Everyone is welcome to join in — it’s a great chance to lend a hand, share knowledge, and enjoy the garden.
Committee Meetings
Our committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm at the Caloundra Power Boat Club. All members are welcome to attend, share ideas, and get involved in shaping the future of our garden.

Community Garden beds
We have a variety of communal garden beds, where the whole community can grow, pick, and share fresh vegetables and herbs.
Even if you don’t have time to help regularly, you can still support the garden by becoming a member. Your membership helps us maintain the space, care for the garden beds, and keep the garden thriving for everyone.
Members help to maintain the communal beds and, in return, share in the benefits — enjoying fresh, organic produce straight from the garden.

Individual Garden Bed
Join the Waiting List for an Individual Garden Bed
In addition to helping maintain the community beds you can secure your own space to grow fresh, organic vegetables, herbs, and flowers. When harvest time comes around, you’ll also have the opportunity to swap produce and share the rewards with fellow members.
Spaces are limited — join the waiting list today and start growing your own little patch of paradise!
