Our garden will be a welcoming hub for gardening, community building, and education — firmly rooted in sustainability. It will be a space where members can:

• Shared community garden beds accessible to everyone
• Pathways designed for easy access by all community members
• Essential infrastructure such as nutrient-rich garden beds and water tanks
• An education centre featuring rainwater catchment and sustainability programs

Golden Beach Community Garden Inc is a non-profit organisation dedicated to nurturing community gardens and urban agriculture initiatives. We create strong partnerships between community members, government, schools, and local businesses.

Our mission is to empower people from diverse backgrounds to grow together — not just food, but knowledge, friendships, and community spirit. We aim to provide a thriving space where residents from Caloundra, Golden Beach, Pelican Waters, and beyond can:

• Grow nutritious, organic produce
• Learn sustainable gardening practices

We value healthy lifestyles

We promote gardening as a healthy, outdoor activity suitable for all ages. Families and children are encouraged to participate through special programs, and we support community members with special needs to enjoy the garden’s benefits.

We value our connection to the land

We are committed to organic gardening and permaculture principles that enrich the soil and produce. We educate our gardeners to share these sustainable methods, helping conserve open space and wildlife habitats for future generations.

We value access to healthy affordable food

As a garden created by the community, for the community, we offer Community Garden beds accessible to all members and local residents.

Surplus harvests are generously shared by donation with the community members, and also sent to local food pantries and shelters, ensuring that everyone in the community can benefit from fresh, healthy produce.

We value personal relationships within our community

Gardening is a community experience that builds connections between families, friends, and neighbours. We foster cooperation, intergenerational dialogue, and inclusivity to strengthen our community bonds.
