Dear Garden Enthusiasts,
Autumn is in full swing, and so is our garden! We’ve had some amazing progress this month, from new funding to exciting projects. Read on to see what’s happening and how you can get involved!
🌱 Garden Updates
🌿 Front Entrance Arbour Installed!
A huge thank you to our volunteers for erecting the first arbour at the garden entrance. It looks fantastic, and we appreciate everyone who helped make it happen!
🪵 New Compost Bins & Bay
Thanks to Jed and Keith, we now have additional compost bins and a bay, making it easier than ever to turn waste into nutrient-rich soil.
🌱 More Soil & Mulch
The back two beds have been filled with soil and planted with seeds and seedlings (thank you, Tegan!), and fresh mulch has been spread throughout the Food Forest.
🍌 New Pawpaw Grove
We now have a pawpaw grove in the Food Forest! A big thank you to everyone who helped plant these trees—looking forward to future harvests!
💦 Irrigation & New Garden Beds
Thanks to the $5,500 Aura Stockland Grant, we will be installing an irrigation system and ordering more garden beds

We have welcomed one new member this month, and another is pending.
📍 AGM Meeting Location Confirmed
Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in July at Bells on Main ($20 per hour). Mark your calendars!

We still need a permanent Treasurer or Secretary for the next term. If you’re interested, please let us know before the AGM.

We need a coordinator to help with planting and long-term garden planning. If you’re interested, please reach out!
💦 Tafe Student Volunteers
We’re considering working with TAFE students to help fill new garden beds, following the successful model at Mudjimba Community Garden. Thoughts?

We have fresh worm juice available—great for boosting your plants!
